Yes. Gov Image & PDF Tool is 100% free to use, with no sign-up required and no file upload to any server.
Are my files safe and private?
Absolutely. All processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device.
Which browsers are supported?
The tool works best on modern browsers: Chrome 90+, Firefox 90+, Safari 15+, and Edge 90+. Some modern formats (WebP, AVIF) require newer browser versions.
Can I request a new feature?
Yes! Send us an email with your feature idea. We review all suggestions and add the most requested ones in future updates.
Why does HEIC export show "not supported"?
Browser canvas APIs do not support encoding to HEIC format. HEIC files can be read and converted to other formats (JPG, PNG, WebP, etc.), but cannot be exported as HEIC from a browser.
